Managing human resources in Malaysia has been more challenging nowadays as to the cause of globalization and liberation of world economy and also the transformation of Malaysia‘s economy to an economy of intensive knowledge, ICT – based and in a huge scale. NIHR was duly formed to deal with this complex challenges.

The main objectives on the formation of NIHR are to catalyze national human resources planning, changes and improvement of professional skills in management of Human Resource and industrial relations in workplace. The achievements in these three (3) objectives are vital in improving the level of productivity and competitiveness of our country’s economy. NIHR also will be responsible in developing national human resources policy in which complements the goal of human capital development as avowed in the Ninth Malaysia Plan.
